Thursday September 5th, 2024 - Today, Edelman announces two new leadership appointments in the UK business.
Gavin Spicer, previously UK COO will take on a newly created role as Chief AI Officer UK and Joe Carmody, previously CEO Edelman Ireland, will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer UK.
Joe joins the UK business having led Edelman Ireland for the last 10 years as Managing Director and most recently CEO. In his new role Joe will lead the operationalisation of the UK business strategy.
Ruth Warder commented “I have had the pleasure of working with Joe for over ten years and I am thrilled that he is joining the UK team as Chief Operating Officer. Joe has an incredible capacity to bring teams together, to build community and to strive for the highest quality outcomes for clients.”

As Chief AI Officer UK Gavin Spicer will take on the UK’s first leadership role focused on AI.
Gavin will be focused on the integration of AI into the UK business, advancing Edelman AI solutions for clients and leading the deployment of newly developed AI products and services including Edelman’s Trust Stream into the UK.

Gavin will continue to lead the Microsoft relationship for Assembly in the EMEA region.
